Vintage clothing inspires many aspects of my work. For these unlabored, sketch-like paintings the subject matter is variations of vintage slips in my collection. All are chosen for their feminine flowing silk fabric, texture, and subtle finishing details which I find seductive. These are studies of garments that normally are deconstructed so that I can make grounds for paintings.
